Of Water, Sand and Cedar

Mystical rocking chairs, built by a craftsman and his grandson, change the lives of those fortunate enough to acquire them.

A story about a young boy who is forced to live with his grandparents on the Oregon coast after his own parents are lost at sea in a tragic boating accident. As the boy grows, he learns the secrets of wisdom, love, redemption and compassion from his grandparents, especially his grandfather, who has a propensity to quote everyone from Plato to Jerry Garcia.

He is also trained by his grandfather to become a master furniture craftsman, taught to build cedar rocking chairs that possess the power to heal. His grandfather informs him that the secret is in mixing the proper ratios of water and sand, along with glue. The combination causes the joints of the rocking chairs to glisten while coalescing with the incense cedar from which they are built.

The Second Book

Council of the Majestics

Three families. One remote wilderness. And a legendary encounter that will change their world forever.

An elk hunting trip into eastern Oregon's rugged Blue Mountains was meant to be an escape into nature for three families. But the true journey begins when their teenage boys slip away to fly-fish the quiet canyon stream just below camp. That's when they see it. Beneath the shadow of a towering Ponderosa Pine, they encounter something otherworldly that their parents find hard to believe when they recount their experience.

As everyone debates the possibilities of other beings, the families unwittingly connect with a hidden clan. They discover that the ancient creatures are peaceful, deeply intelligent, and harbor a profound understanding of the universe. What follows is not a fight for survival, but a unique awakening.
